Fishing has been good for Chinook at Mara and Long Beach. The Mara bite is a shorter run if you are just wanting to get a few.
The Red Can always has salmon swming by so there are always Chniook there at times during the day but the wait can be longer than just running up to Long Beach or waiting for the tide change at Mara.
The Coho fishing has been sporatic but there haev been some good bites inside Chrowe and Great Bear and Alley Rock.
Big Bank is loeaded with Coho if you want to make the run. Remember you can only keep the adapose fin clipped Coho there.
There are lots of smaller halibut at Big Bank at Hali West and a few bigger ones on the G spot, though this year seems to be a smaller average year for Big Bank.
The larger Halibut are coming on the anchor in spots further up the coast or closer to shore.
Wya has been a dead spot most of July for bait. I haven’t seen Wya this dead for bait so we will have to see what happens when August rolls around. There is a big run predicted and the fishing along the shore has been incredible the past few years.
Good luck on the water!
